Seit der Gründung am 1. Januar 2010 untersteht die Highland Games Association of Switzerland (HGAS) der Scottish Highland Games Association (SHGA) und der International Highland Games Federation (IHGF) als «Affiliated Association».

Highland Games Swiss Championships
Vom 24. bis zum 26. August 2012 finden unter dem Patronat der Highland Games Association of Switzerland (HGAS) und der Pipe Band Association of Switzerland (PBAS) die 10. Highland Games Swiss Championships statt.
